Nepal Energy Efficiency Programme (NEEP) together with Inclusive Development of the Economy (INCLUDE) Programme and the Federation of Community Forestry Users Nepal (FECOFUN) will provide entrepreneurial skills training to 100 stove builders in Kailali, Kanchanpur, Bardia and Banke in September and October 2013. After pilot testing it is planned to include the training module into the standard stove builder training of AEPC. It is expected that increased business skills will help the new trainees to sustainably engage in the stove building business. Currently, a considerable number of trainees abandon their newly learned profession within the first 2 years after completing their training which so far is limited to technical, environmental, and health aspects.
